Escape From Hell Premier Episode 1

Bear Grylls Escape From Hell Premier Episode 1

Season Premiere on Discovery Channel November 11, 2013

The Escape From Hell Season Premier with Bear Grylls starts November, 11 at 10 ET/PT on the Discovery Channel. Knowing Bear's reputation, this will once again be a very exciting and extreme premiere episode with survival stories that will put even Bear Grylls himself in extreme survival situations. All three survival stories are real which Grylls will re-enact on what he might do different if ever in the same set of survival circumstances.

Charles Horton's Survival Story

In April of 2005 Charles Horton experienced something he will never forget when he was cross country skiing and he broke his tibia. Being three miles away from his van he had no choice but to crawl to the closest tree and spend the night. The fact Charles broke his leg was just about as bad as him not telling anyone where he was going cross country skiing. Horton didn't get lost in the wilderness but because of his injury, and his Van 3 miles away with deep snow, this became a real winter survival situation that ended up lasting 9 days with very limited supplies.

Charles did manage to build a fire the first night, but little did he know at the time it would be the last fire he would feel for the remainder of his 9 day survival experience in the middle of winter. Fortunately for Charles one of the few survival pack supplies he had on him was a whistle that very well may of what untimely saved his life.

Eric Le Marque Survival Story

You may of already heard of Eric Le Marque as the famous Olympian or during his career in the National Hockey League NHL, but Eric's survival story on Mammoth Mountain in Northern California, is one that will put him in the record books as a True Survivor on several different fronts.

Le Marque's Escape From Hell Survival Experience all started one day while up snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain on one foggy day. With a major storm closely moving in, the decision was made to close down the ski area early for the safety of all the skiers as visibility was becoming extremely poor. Most everyone on the mountain obeyed the safety patrols orders and headed for the warm Ski Lodge below. Everyone except for Eric Le Marque who decided to get one more run in by hiking back up the mountain before starting his foggy decent into hell. That last run would untimely last 7 nights freezing in the middle of winter and after falling into the freezing river while trying to get a drink of water. By the time Search and Rescue finally did locate Eric, Hypothermia had already set in so severely that both feet needed to be amputated and could not be saved.

Sebastain Boucher

Sebastain Boucher a 33 Snowboarder found him self lost in the wilderness after taking a wrong turn while snowboarding down Cypress Mountain. He was lost for three days in the middle of December without food, water or any sleep. The North Star search and rescue teams found Sebastian on the 3rd day after spotting fresh racks in the snow which untimely saved his life during his winter survival experience. Sebastian lost 18 pounds in the three days and had severe frost bite on his hands and feet.
